Dashboard Overview

1. What You Will See

Directly beneath the header, in the main content area, you'll notice two primary controls on the right side:

  • Refresh (a circular arrow icon). Hovering over this button displays a tooltip that says "Refresh dashboard data." When you click Refresh, all metrics reload immediately without changing the "Last scan" timestamp.
  • Optimize (a green button with a gear icon). Hovering over this button shows "Run optimization scan." Clicking Optimize initiates a fresh scan of your site's internal links, outbound links, images, and schema data. While the scan runs, you'll see the button text change to Optimization in Progress… and a progress bar appear (see below).

Just below these buttons, you will see: Last scan: 2 hours ago. This label automatically updates whenever a new optimization completes successfully.

2. Running an Optimization

To populate the Dashboard with up-to-date data, perform the following steps:

  1. Click Optimize.
Immediately upon clicking, the button text switches to Optimization in Progress…, and a progress bar appears directly beneath it:

    Progress: 50%

This bar gradually fills as each phase of the scan completes.
  2. Observe the Progress Messages.
Below the progress bar, real-time status updates appear, for example:
    • Scanning internal links…
    • Analyzing outbound links…
    • Optimizing images…
    • Generating schema previews…
Each step advances the green fill in the bar above.
  3. Completion of the Scan.
When the final step finishes (for example, "Saving results…"), the progress-fill reaches 100% and then fades away. Simultaneously:
    • The Optimize button text reverts to Optimize.
    • The Last scan: timestamp updates to "just now."

3. Reading the Score Cards

Below the scan controls, you will see a grid of cards representing different metrics. Each card's layout is the same—two per row on desktop, one per row on mobile. Each card shows:

  • A Circular Score Graphic:
  • 70%

The percentage (e.g., 70%) indicates the overall health of that metric area. The circle uses a CSS conic-gradient so that the green portion fills up to the percentage value.

  • Bullet‐Style Metric List:
  • Internal Links: 120
    Incoming Links: 95
    Orphaned Pages: 3

Each metric line appears on a light-gray background (#E6F4EC) with padding, making it easy to read at a glance.

  • "View Details" Button and What It Shows:
  • If this metric has data, you will see:

Clicking View Details opens a comprehensive analytical panel specific to that metric category. Each detail view provides deep insights beyond the summary card:

    • Internal Links Details: Shows detailed tables of all internal link relationships across your site, page-by-page link metrics, and identifies pages with the strongest internal link profiles.
    • Outbound Links Details: Displays comprehensive lists of all external links, domain analysis showing which external sites you link to most frequently, and helps identify potential partnership opportunities.
    • All Suggestions Details: Provides an expanded view of every link suggestion across your entire site, organized by source page, with prioritization based on SEO impact potential.
    • All Pages Details: Offers a complete analytical dashboard showing link metrics for every page on your site, sortable by various criteria to help identify optimization opportunities.

These detail views are designed for in-depth analysis and strategic SEO planning, going far beyond the at-a-glance summaries shown on the main dashboard. If no data exists, you'll instead see the exact phrase:

No data available. Run optimization to see results.

5. Understanding the Dashboard Workflow

The dashboard is designed to support a strategic SEO workflow that moves from analysis to action:

  1. Scan: Run optimization to gather current data about your site's link structure and SEO health.
  2. Analyze: Review the score cards to identify areas needing attention, using the "View Details" buttons for deeper investigation.
  3. Prioritize: Focus on the metrics with lower scores or higher opportunity counts (like orphaned pages or link suggestions).
  4. Act: Use the link suggestions and preview tools to make specific improvements to your content.
  5. Monitor: Re-run optimization periodically to track your progress and identify new opportunities.

This cyclical approach ensures your SEO efforts are data-driven and focused on measurable improvements to your site's search engine optimization.

6. Next Steps

Now that you understand how the dashboard is laid out, how to interpret each card, and the strategic workflow it supports, proceed to Link Suggestions to learn how to view and act on automated link recommendations.
