Link Suggestions

1. How to Access Link Suggestions

After completing an optimization scan (see Dashboard Overview ), return to the main Dashboard. Locate the Link Suggestions card:

  • If it reads No data available. Run optimization to see results., click Optimize and wait for the “Last scan” text to update.
  • Once data is present, you’ll see a percentage circle (e.g. 65%) and bullet counts like:
    Possible Link Suggestions: 23
  • Click the View All Suggestions button at the bottom of that card to open the Link Suggestions panel.

    2. Understanding the Suggestions Panel

2. Understanding the Suggestions Panel

In the suggestions panel, you’ll see an accordion‐style list, grouped by source page. At the top of this panel is a Back to Dashboard link—clicking it will slide the panel away and return you to the grid of cards.

Below that, each source page heading displays:

  • Page URL (e.g. /blog/post-about-seo.html)
  • Suggestion Count (e.g. 5 suggestions)

Each group’s heading looks like:

/blog/post-about-seo.html 5 suggestions

By default, all groups are collapsed. Simply click the page URL text to expand or collapse that group’s list of suggestions.

3. Viewing an Individual Suggestion

Once you expand a group (for example, /blog/post-about-seo.html), you will see each suggestion in a row. A typical suggestion row contains:

  • Suggested URL (e.g., https://yourdomain.com/category/page.html).
  • Suggested Anchor Text (e.g., “learn SEO basics”).
  • View (an eye icon button). Clicking this button opens the preview panel, showing the exact location on the source page where this link should be inserted.

To preview:

  1. Click the eye icon or View button on the rightmost side of the suggestion row. The panel slides in from the right, showing you the full page content ready for editing.
  2. To close the preview, click Back to Suggestions at the top-left of the preview panel or the Close (X) icon in the toolbar.

4. Example Suggestion Row Markup

Here is a sample of how one suggestion is structured within the accordion content:

https://yourdomain.com/category/page.html learn SEO basics

The serp-preview-btn class and View button let you open the preview panel at exactly the right spot on the page. Hovering over a suggestion’s URL or anchor text will also highlight which text is about to be linked.

5. Next Steps

Once you’ve previewed a suggestion, navigate to Preview & Inline Editing to learn exactly how to insert or adjust links within the previewed content.
